Longines didn’t celebrate its 180th anniversary by reissuing its most famous watch. It went back to 1913 and rebuilt one almost everyone had forgotten.
That’s what makes this reference interesting.
The monopusher chronograph isn’t here for nostalgia. It’s here because it was the right architecture for the watch Longines chose to bring back. Flip it over and you’ll find the L788.2—an integrated, column-wheel chronograph developed exclusively for Longines and visible beneath the sapphire caseback.
Most collectors walk past this watch. I think they’re looking at the wrong things.

This Longines presents in excellent pre-owned condition and has clearly been well cared for. The polished stainless steel case shows only light signs of honest wear consistent with careful ownership, with no notable dents, deep scratches, or evidence of abuse.
The white lacquer dial is clean and free of visible imperfections. The heat-blued hands remain vibrant, the sapphire crystal is clear, and the exhibition caseback offers an unobstructed view of the beautifully finished L788.2 movement and its signature blued column wheel.
The original Longines leather strap remains in very good condition with expected light wear from normal use and is paired with the signed Longines deployant clasp.
The watch is running properly at the time of listing, and all chronograph functions—including start, stop, and reset via the integrated monopusher—operate as intended.
